Sunday, 27 September 2026 is Safeguarding Sunday in the Archdiocese of Dublin, a day dedicated to highlighting how safeguarding is a key part of our parish life every day. We have learned from the past and use that knowledge to set and maintain the highest safeguarding standards. It is also a day to remind everyone in the church that safeguarding is a standard practice for us all. Safeguarding is nott just about children; it includes everyone we meet in our daily lives. This year, Safeguarding Sunday coincides with the “World Day of Migrants and Refugees.” It is an opportunity for us to pause and think about how especially vulnerable are those people who come to our country as refugees or in search of international protection.
