Baptism Team

This is an important Ministry to help parents prepare for the baptism of their child. The Sacrament of Baptism is the first step in a lifelong journey of commitment and discipleship. Whether we are baptised as infants or adults, Baptism is the Church's way of celebrating and enacting the embrace of God. Contact us by emailing Fr. Paul or the Parish Office or telephone the Parish Office at 01 848 5262 if you would like to join the Baptism Team or use the webform at the bottom of this page.

Funeral Team

The Funeral Team help prepare a family for the funeral of a loved one. The trauma of losing someone close is very deep and leaves us disorientated. Depending on the circumstances, the death of a loved one can leave us feeling numb, shocked, exhausted, angry, relieved, depressed, or a combination of any of these. Trying to organise a funeral in the middle of all this is not easy. The  Funeral Team provide advice and support when a death occurs in the Parish. If you feel that you could provide support to your fellow parishioners as they go through this difficult time, contact us by emailing Fr. Paul or the Parish Office, telephone the Parish Office at 01 848 5262 or use the webform at the bottom of this page.

Bethany Support

Following the death of a loved one, grieving is a natural process and is normally helped by the support and understanding of family and friends. Sometimes a bereaved person may need the support of a skilled person to help them journey through their loss in a positive way. Bethany volunteers listen with understanding and empathy. They accept those suffering loss as they are and support the bereaved for as long as they need. You can contact the local Bethany Support group in your area by going to their website at Bethany.ie

Hospitality Ministry

There are many things we can all do to help our parish become a centre of hospitality. Every person who enters the doors of our Church should feel welcomed and hopefully will want to return. We are always looking for volunteers who will welcome parishioners and new visitors as they enter our Church and who will help with the tea/coffee on the first Sunday of each month and on other important occasions. Care for the Earth Ministry

This group will seek to discover ways we can work together to improve our environment and care for the earth. The members of the Care for the Earth Ministry will encourage people in the parish to make some practical changes in their day-to-day lives by:

  • donating one item in good condition that they no longer use to a local charity
  • using public transport, cycle or walk instead of using the car
  • turning off all electrical items for one hour each day
  • letting grass grow to allow wild flowers pollinate and don't use pesticides
  • cutting down on the amount of water we use

See our Eco-Aware page

Contact us by emailing Sr. Margo or the Parish Office or telephone the Parish Office at 01 848 5262 if you would like to join the Care for the Earth Ministry or use the webform at the bottom of this page.
